What to know about Haven Behavioral Hospital of Dayton before visiting/admittance
At Haven Behavioral Hospital of Dayton, our patients’ safety comes first. As safety is our focus, patients are not permitted certain items and/or articles that may be harmful. Packaged and other sealed items are subject to search. Please ask a staff member if you have any questions regarding such items.
What To Bring
Casual clothing (3 complete outfits, pajamas, undergarments, socks, 1 pair of shoes or sneakers), insurance card and ID, custody papers, or power of attorney paperwork (when necessary) and overnight personal items (shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste).
What To Leave At Home
Cell phone, Aerosol spray cans, aluminum cans, belts, electrical equipment with cords, cameras, glass objects, fingernail files, heavy jewelry, electronic devices (camera, tape, recorders, CD/DVD/MP3 players, computers) clothing with drawstrings, shoe laces, spiked heels and boots, scissors, needles and medications brought from home.
Your Treatment Team
Haven Behavioral Hospital of Dayton has a team of highly trained and experienced behavioral health professionals who work collaboratively with the patient, community providers and others to develop an individualized treatment and discharge plan. The core members of Haven’s treatment team include: Psychiatrist and other medical staff, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, master’s level therapists, behavioral health technicians and other professionals are consulted as directed by the psychiatrist.
No Smoking Policy
For health and safety of patients, visitors and employees, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hospital.
