This interactive seminar is designed to help participants understand the impact of trauma on lifelong development. We will further explore how trauma impacts brain development, decision-making and even physical and emotional health throughout all stages of life.  One CEU will be given for this event.

Kristy Matheson, BA, LSW, CDP
In her 20 years as a Social Worker, Mrs. Matheson has positioned herself as an advocate and resource for families and professionals. She has worked in the field of healthcare for 15 years and has held positions in a variety of settings to include: hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and hospice. Mrs. Matheson is a State of Ohio Social Work Provider for Continuing Professional Education, Certified Dementia Practitioner and Registered Yoga Teacher. For the past eight years, he has had the privilege of helping patients and families in her position as a Community Educator at Hospice of the Miami Valley.


Dr. David L. Schooler
Dr. Schooler is Care Pastor and a counselor for Back2Back International Ministries and maintains a private counseling practice in Lebanon, Ohio. He also serves as a consultant to select church leaders in the United States, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan. Dr. Schooler has been an ordained elder in the International Church of the Nazarene since 1979. He holds numerous degrees in fields including Business, Theology and Counseling and is the proud father of Kristy Matheson.
